About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Water Resources Team and contribute to a diverse portfolio of mining, water resources, hydrogeological, and environmental projects across Latin America and internationally.
This role is intended for a highly skilled professional with 15+ years of progressive experience in hydrogeology, water resources management, and project leadership. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, support business development initiatives, and provide technical guidance throughout all phases of project delivery, from planning and field investigations to analysis, reporting, and client engagement.
The Senior Hydrogeologist will work closely with Project Managers, technical specialists, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality hydrogeological solutions that meet technical, environmental, and business objectives.
This Role Will Give You the Opportunity To
Lead and manage hydrogeological and water resources projects, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Serve as Project Manager for assigned projects, coordinating technical teams and project resources.
Plan, organize, and oversee field investigation programs and monitoring campaigns.
Manage multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with specialists across multiple technical disciplines.
Review and approve technical reports, hydrogeological studies, and project deliverables.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships throughout all stages of project execution.
Lead project meetings and communicate technical findings to clients and stakeholders.
Prepare and oversee project budgets, progress valuations, cost control, and staffing allocation.
Support proposal preparation, business development activities, and strategic growth initiatives.
Mentor junior and intermediate staff and contribute to the development of technical talent within the organization.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has
Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Professional registration and active professional standing (CIP).
Master’s Degree or postgraduate specialization in Hydrogeology, Water Resources Management, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in hydrogeology and water resources consulting projects.
Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects and technical teams.
Strong knowledge of groundwater systems, hydrogeological investigations, water resources assessments, and environmental studies.
Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving technical reports and project deliverables.
Proficiency with industry-standard software including MODFLOW, FEFLOW, GW Vistas, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, AQTESOLV, QGIS, ArcGIS, Leapfrog, AutoCAD, GoldSim, and related tools.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
Knowledge of Integrated Management Systems and QHSE requirements.
Advanced English communication skills; Portuguese is considered an asset.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, mentoring, and problem-solving abilities.
