GIS Analyst

Who We’re Looking For
As a GIS Analyst at KCB, you will work alongside a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, applying your GIS expertise to deliver high quality spatial data, analysis and cartographic outputs in a fast-paced consulting environment. What You Will Do:
Collaborate with a global team of geospatial professionals.
Support engineering and geoscience projects with geospatial data management, analysis, and visualisation.
Create cartographic outputs to meet project-specific requirements.
Process and digitise spatial and non-spatial data, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper metadata documentation.
Maintain and update spatial databases, organise datasets, and assist in data clean-up activities.
Convert, review, and update GIS data and outputs in a variety of formats.
Source GIS data from internal and external sources and ensure accurate metadata is maintained.
Deliver accessible geospatial data through various platforms, including ArcGIS Enterprise.
Assist in GIS system support and permissions management across different versions of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise tools.
Work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Foster positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
What You Bring:
Tertiary qualifications in one of the following: Geospatial Science, Geographical & Spatial Science, Environmental & Geospatial Science.
2-4 years’ professional experience in geospatial analysis, preferably within the consulting, infrastructure or resources sectors.
Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise suite (ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online).
Experience creating and maintaining spatial datasets.
Strong cartographic skills with the ability to produce high-quality, visually appealing deliverables.
Attention to detail, with excellent communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with diverse technical teams.
Familiarity with or experience using the following tools is highly regarded:
Surfer, Leapfrog, Grapher, MUK3D, Global Mapper, Power BI, and OpenGround
Additional beneficial experience includes:
Spatial database knowledge (e.g. Geodatabase, SQL, Microsoft Access).
Mobile/web GIS application development.
Coding for GIS data compatibility (e.g. Python scripting, ETL workflows).
