This Geochemist role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with other talented professionals committed to delivering high quality geoscience and engineering services.
What you will do:
Deliver geochemistry and hydrochemistry services to mining projects within the geoscience group.
Plan and coordinate field programs, laboratory analysis, and regulatory liaison and reporting.
Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to geochemistry staff and programs.
Manage data collection, interpretation, conceptual site model development, and geochemical modelling.
Apply industry-standard modelling tools (e.g. PHREEQC, Geochemist’s Workbench, GoldSim, SEEP/W); Python skills advantageous.
Prepare high-quality technical reports and integrate geochemical inputs into multidisciplinary studies.
Manage projects and client relationships, including presentations, deliverables, and commercial outcomes.
Support business development, cross-business collaboration, and maintain awareness of current ARD/ML practices.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, chemistry, or environmental engineering from a recognised institution.
Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong experience in geochemical characterisation, ARD/ML assessment, water quality modelling, and remediation programs.
Working knowledge of mine waste management and discharge water quality legislation and guidelines.
Additional experience in related disciplines (e.g. soil science, hydrology, hydrogeology) advantageous.
Excellent written and verbal English communication, with proven technical report-writing capability.
Sound project management, contract administration, and interpersonal skills.
Availability to travel within Australia and internationally.
