The Opportunity:
Klohn Crippen Berger (KCB) is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Transportation & Marine group in Vancouver. Reporting to the Manager, Transportation, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to the design and delivery of a diverse range of bridge, marine and transit structures.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is eager to learn, collaborate with experienced professionals, and build expertise across all phases of project delivery, from planning and design through construction and commissioning. As part of KCB's multidisciplinary team, you will work on meaningful projects that help connect communities and support critical transportation and trade infrastructure.
This role will give you the opportunity to:

Apply your knowledge to challenging structural and civil engineering projects, from conceptual and detailed design through construction monitoring and project completion.
Gain hands-on experience working on a variety of infrastructure projects, including ports, harbours, terminals, and waterfront structures.
Collaborate with engineers and specialists from multiple disciplines to develop practical and innovative solutions.
Participate in field investigations, condition assessments, and construction support activities.
Develop your professional skills under the mentorship of experienced marine and structural engineers.
Travel within British Columbia, across Canada, and occasionally internationally to support project needs.
We value your:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration in Canada
1 - 4 years of related experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects
Ability to review and understand Canadian and provincial design codes
Technical competence and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong technical report writing capability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
What we offer:
The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 per year. Actual salary offered is based on an individual assessment of applicable experience, education, and skill level. Along with continued career development, KCB offers:
