As a Senior Civil Engineer, you would engage in:
We combine technical acumen, collaboration and innovation to deliver solutions for long lasting and sustainable development in the mining sector. We design and deliver critical infrastructure such as dams, water management systems and tailings storage facilities with consideration for the long-term closure objectives. We focus on mine waste management including inspections, safety reviews, and risk management aligned with the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM). The role of Senior Civil Engineer comes with the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule and will provide you with the opportunity to:
This role will give you the opportunity to:
· Apply senior civil engineering judgment to mine tailings and water management projects from study phase through to detailed design and construction-ready deliverables.
· Develop practical design concepts for earthfill dams, spillways, large-scale excavations, and surface water control structures.
· Bring a strong constructability lens to design development, balancing cost-effective solutions with appropriate understanding of project risk.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (specialist geotechnical, hydrotechnical, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers, hydrogeologists, and geochemists) to advance design concepts into IFC drawings and specifications.
· Provide clear direction and technical input to CAD teams completing Civil 3D modelling and drafting work.
· Support construction projects with office support to field engineers, field reviews, and preparing construction summary reports.
· Clearly communicate sound, risk-informed designs and recommendations to project teams and senior technical reviewers.
What we require:
We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to support you as you build on it. We do, however, require the following qualifications:
· A degree in Civil Engineering; a master’s degree is considered an asset.
· 10 to 15 years of civil engineering experience, preferably within mining or related heavy civil environments.
· Eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada.
· Experience taking civil design concepts from study-level assessment through to detailed design.
· Strong understanding of constructability, including field constraints and construction sequencing.
· Experience with earthworks, dams, spillways, large excavations, and mine infrastructure (e.g., geomembrane liners, HDPE pipes).
· Working knowledge of Civil 3D, with the ability to guide design development and collaborate effectively with CAD teams.
· Experience providing construction support.
· Experience in a safety-focused environment with near miss and incident reporting requirements.

The salary for this position is $105,000 to $150,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
