About the Role

We are looking to add new talent to our Technical Team to support a diverse portfolio of mining, geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil infrastructure projects across Latin America and internationally.

The Intermediate Geotechnical Civil Engineer role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals to contribute to complex engineering projects, provide technical leadership, and support multidisciplinary project teams throughout all phases of project delivery.

In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver geotechnical investigations, engineering analyses, design studies, risk assessments, and technical reports for mining and infrastructure projects. You will be expected to apply solid engineering judgment, coordinate technical activities, supervise junior staff, and contribute to successful project execution.

This Role Will Give You the Opportunity To:

• Perform geotechnical analyses including slope stability, seepage, settlement, consolidation, and earthworks assessments.

• Design and evaluate tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, waste rock dumps, embankments, channels, and other mining infrastructure.

• Plan and supervise geotechnical field investigations, drilling programs, and laboratory testing campaigns.

• Interpret field and laboratory data, geotechnical instrumentation results, and monitoring programs.

• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications.

• Develop geotechnical and hydraulic models using industry-standard software.

• Coordinate technical activities with multidisciplinary teams, including Water Resources, Environmental, Mining, and CAD/GIS groups.

• Provide technical guidance and review the work of junior engineers.

• Support project planning, proposal development, budgeting, and client deliverables.

• Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, design optimization, and closure planning studies.

• Act as a task lead or project coordinator for assigned project components.

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical, mining, or civil engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and engineering design.

• Experience with GeoStudio (Slope/W, Seep/W), AutoCAD Civil 3D, Global Mapper, and Google Earth.

• Experience with Rocscience, FLAC, Plaxis, Muck3D, or similar software is an asset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project.

• Intermediate English required; Portuguese is an asset.
