Who We're Looking For
To support the growth of our mine water management services, we are seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Perth team, working on Australian and international mining projects. You will apply your expertise across the planning, assessment, design, and construction of tailings facilities, water dams, waste storage facilities, and mine water infrastructure.
We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who thrives on complex projects from concept to delivery. In this role, you will combine technical excellence with leadership, guiding design, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical outcomes across tailings, dams, water management, and mine infrastructure projects.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Water Resources Engineer, you will play a key technical and leadership role within our Perth-based team, supporting projects across Australia and globally. You will:
Engage with clients, colleagues, and suppliers on field investigations and engineering solutions
Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analyses, including flood studies, water balances, and hydraulic modelling
Incorporate climate resilience considerations into water management designs
Lead and manage mine water management projects from planning through delivery
Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and design documentation
Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and operations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary and global teams to deliver integrated water management solutions
Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and proposals
Mentor and provide technical review for junior engineers
Travel to project sites within Australia and internationally as required
What You Bring
We’re looking for an experienced professional who combines strong technical capability with leadership and commercial awareness. You will have:
Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
Professional Engineer registration in Australia, or eligibility to obtain it
10+ years' experience in civil design related to surface water management, preferably in mining or related industries
Experience in hydrotechnical assessments and designs, including water balances, open channel flow, and erosion protection
Proficiency with hydrologic modelling software such as RORB, WBNM, URBS and XPRAFTS, and hydraulic modelling packages including TUFLOW and HEC-RAS
Strong project delivery experience, including planning, execution, and quality outcomes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting
Ability to build effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
