Junior GIS Analyst

This role will give you the opportunity to:
Prepare and deliver high quality GIS figures for environmental and engineering reporting.
Gather, compile and analyse datasets according to project needs from a variety of internal and external sources.
Complete spatial analysis to support project deliverables.
Develop, configure and mange dynamic Web maps and GIS Web applications for internal and external project teams.
Champion GIS solutions for the business unit for both data collection and delivery
Collaborate with KCB employees from various offices across Canada and internationally.

Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Geomatics or technical equivalent diploma
1-2 years’ of experience in a GIS environment
We value your:
Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software suite, including both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro.
Knowledge of spatial reference systems, spatial analysis, SQL queries, and raster processing and analysis.
Experience creating and managing geodatabases.
Experience in spatial data extraction, transformation and loading.
Working knowledge of programming languages for ArcGIS (i.e. Python, SQL, VBScript, etc.).
Experience in processing remote sensing data.
Experience creating web-based mapping solutions (ArcGIS Online, Enterprise Portal).
Experience supporting ESRI field data collection tools; Survey123, Field Maps, QuickCapture.
Keen eye for cartographic design and the capability to produce high quality cartographic products.
Experience collecting, organizing, and sharing data with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient use of Microsoft Software Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong written, oral, and virtual communication skills for all levels of technical understanding.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction coupled with an ability to work well in a team environment.
