Klohn Crippen Berger has an opening for Systems Administrator, working with the global IT team, to support and enhance our technology infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT administration be self-motivated, with the ability to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our systems. This is a 6-mounth contract position which may evolve to a permanent position. The primary focus for this role will be:
Key responsibilities will include:
System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and software systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Network Management: Manage LAN, WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance and security.
User Support: Provide technical support to employees (onsite and remote), troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Security: Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, implement security measures (patches, updates, firewall rules), and ensure compliance with IT security policies.
Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain data backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Virtualization & Cloud Services: Manage and maintain cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
System Upgrades: Plan and execute upgrades to hardware, software, and network systems to meet evolving business needs.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, configurations, processes, and user manuals
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in systems/network administration, preferably within an engineering or professional services environment.
Expertise in Windows/Linux server environments, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Experience managing enterprise-level networks and security protocols.
Proficiency with network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches) and monitoring tools.
Strong knowledge of data backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Nice to Have
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Familiarity with database management (SQL, Oracle) and cloud infrastructure tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
The salary for this position is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level.
