Junior Project Controller
About the role
Join our Project Controls team as a Junior Project Controller, supporting the economic–financial management and delivery of proposals and projects across engineering, mining, environmental and infrastructure sectors.
In this role you will work closely with Project Managers, QHSE representatives, administrative teams, and our accounting offices in Peru and Canada to ensure accurate reporting, sound project governance, and efficient project execution.
You will contribute to financial controls, reporting, schedule monitoring, budget updates, client communication and support the integrity of project documentation within corporate systems.
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Support monthly financial processes, including billing, valuations, tracking and coordination with accounting teams.
Assist Project Managers with budgeting, scheduling, proposal preparation and project planning.
Produce weekly and monthly project reports for internal use and clients, ensuring accurate and timely information.
Maintain and update project data in corporate systems, including timesheets, costs, budget changes and documentation.
Support contract administration by managing PMPs, orders, addenda and change control documentation.
Monitor project budgets and costs to identify variances and potential overruns.
Coordinate directly with clients for follow‑up on invoices and accounts receivable.
Contribute to governance processes, ensuring compliance with IMS procedures.
Assist with logistics, administration and on‑site project support when required.
Participate in continuous improvement of reporting tools, templates and project control processes.
We are looking for someone who has:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in project control, project administration, finance or related roles.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, BST Enterprise and Newforma.
Advanced English.
Basic Portuguese (desirable).
