About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with the delivery of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) and related infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. If you excel in fieldwork, thrive on supporting design engineers during construction and operation, and enjoy leading project teams while fostering strong client relationships, this role is for you.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide technical and project coordination support across civil infrastructure projects.
- Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with QA/QC standards.
- Prepare and submit daily site reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams comprising project managers, technical consultants, design teams, contractors, and construction delivery teams to develop solutions and resolve technical challenges.
- Monitor and certify contractor adherence to quality assurance protocols and testing procedures.
- Identify and report non-conformances, recommending remedial actions where necessary.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure safety and quality compliance.
- Assist in procurement processes and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
- Interpret engineering drawings and provide guidance to site supervisors and foremen.
- Support the development of method statements and construction sequences.
Qualifications and Key Skills Required
- Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience working on civil engineering projects (tailings storage facilities, water dams, and mining infrastructure preferred but not essential).
- Strong proficiency in QA/QC, site supervision, and project management.
- Excellent report writing, design review, and data analysis skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
